Bodie/Ray ficlet

Bodie raised an eyebrow, and said nothing.

"What?" Ray asked, in a tone that said he knew exactly what Bodie meant, but wouldn't admit it.

"I'm not using that."

Ray stopped pulling the sheets back from the bed, and turned, crossing his arms across his chest. The fact that he was naked made it difficult for Bodie to keep scowling -- unless he looked at the item Ray had set on the chair for him. "You promised, Bodie."

"I promised, but not to use something that shade of purple. Looks like..." he trailed off, unable to think of anything it possibly resembled, other than something that shouldn't be bright purple.

Ray stormed over until he was standing right in front of him -- Bodie thought about grabbing him and kissing him, and making him forget about their plans. But he was pretty sure Ray not only wouldn't forget, but he'd be mad enough that he'd call the whole afternoon off, completely. Go watch telly and ignore anything Bodie had to say about how much he wanted to be fucked.

"Bodie," Ray said menacingly, and there it was, all in his tone. Everything Bodie had just thought to himself.

"It's *purple*. You can't expect me to take this seriously--"

There was a flash in Ray's eyes, and Bodie snapped his mouth shut. He sighed.

"Right. But don't blame me if I start giggling halfway through."

"So long as you use it properly, I don't care what else you do."

Bodie looked at him sharply, and smiled. "Is that so?" He turned the bright purple strap over in his hands. He might feel like a idiot wielding something that *ought* to be a proper black -- but the idea that Ray might end up pliant and willing enough to let Bodie snuggle, afterwards, was enticing enough that he might not burst into laughter, after all.
