Giles rolled over, knowing that the morning was growing late and he had things to do. People to see, evil to combat. All very good reasons to get out of bed and stop lazing about.
He kept his eyes closed, and didn't move. The warmth all along his left side was the primary reason he remained in bed. As he thought it, he scooted over just a bit, trying to move carefully.
"Mmmmm. Morning yet?" Xander's voice came from somewhere under the covers.
"No. Can't be," Giles told him. Now that he knew Xander was awake, he moved more quickly, gathering Xander into his arms and snuggling closely. He heard Xander sigh, happily.
"Stay in bed 'til noon?" he heard Xander suggest.
"Excellent idea. I'm so glad I put you in charge."
He felt a finger poke him in the ribs. "Not in charge. I'm just the only one willing to make phone calls."
Giles felt himself slipping back to sleep. "Same thing," he said, then he buried his face against his lover's shoulder and he didn't hear any response at all.
