There were, Lindsey thought, worse things about Hell than this. He knew he'd get to them -- they cycled rather nicely, if not exactly predictably. Hell didn't like you to know what was coming to the point you could prepare. But they cycled all the same, and Lindsey had endured enough of them that he had opinions about each. Things he hated most about each torment. THings he didn't quite mind all that much, relatively speaking.
This one wasn't all that, but it was one of the few which left him time and attention to think. True, he had things to say and things to do, but he'd done them over so many times he had them all memorised and each word and action was automatic. So he went through the motions, and thought about his lot in death.
He looked forward to finding out if Angel had made it down here. That would make Hell and all its torments worth it.
Lindsey adjusted his big, white hat, and hurried over to the other denizens of Hell that were stuck in this torment with him. Time for another Smurf song, then they were outta here for something else just as bad.
