Slayer
She stays on course
feet steady as she runs
nightfall and dark
but she sees too well.
She sails with speed
and demons follow
outside her path
and inside her heart.
She leaps above
sails over walls
and lands to fight
without pausing.
Her blows are quick;
even blind, true aim
guides her hand
and shatters the dead.
She rests in dust
and sees no more;
her conscience clear
her heart is silent.
She runs, this time home
to where the silence sings
and voices call her
back, into darkness.
