"Ow, dammit." Dean scowled at his finger; gave a harsher scowl to the drawer he'd just smashed his finger in. What he got for not paying attention, but who the hell expected to need his wits about him when putting clothes away in a dresser drawer?
"What?" Sam wandered over, and Dean just held up his hand.
"Nothi--" was as far as he got before Sam took a hold of his hand and placed a kiss on the top if his finger.
Dean stared. Stared at Sam, stared at his finger. Sam smirked at him, but didn't let go of his hand.
It was on the tip of his tongue to tell him that in the first place, it wasn't really effective first aid, and in the second place, it wasn't like his finger really hurt enough for, well, anything. Besides which, that shit only worked for three year olds, only he couldn't get his jaw to close again and Dean realised he'd been dumbfounded far longer than the situation called for.
Sam was still smirking, but dropped Dean's hand and picked up the toiletry bags he'd been taking to the bathroom. Dean narrowed his eyes, then, carefully, while Sam was still watching, Dean bit his lower lip.
"Ow, dammit."
Sam laughed, but that was all right because sometimes a kiss really did make everything better.
