Summary: love wins out over everything
Sam loves his brother. He's known that all his life like he's known how to breathe, back when it meant sharing cereal and cartoons and wrestling in the backseat of the car. Later it meant kicking under the table and fighting over who could get the most free desserts from the waitresses who said they were adorable or waif-like, depending on the ages of the persons involved.
Now it means someone on his six and insults and arguing over what constitutes decent music, and for a few hard years it was someone he hated and someone he ran away from and someone he didn't want to be anything like. But no matter what it's meant, he's never really doubted that he loves his brother, and now that he's old enough to know his own mind and have his own conscience, he knows that what it really means is that he will do anything his brother needs.
He'll bitch and complain and be someone his brother can bounce off when no one else in the world would stand still. He'll nod and not argue when Dean says the killing shot was his, when the evil they've pursued fades back into human form. He'll pretend he doesn't care until Dean pushes him onward; he'll care too deeply and remind his brother why they do this at all.
And sometimes it means he'll roll onto his back and lift his legs and he'll whisper soft and low, and beg with desire and demand in his voice. He'll kiss his brother eagerly, and lay pliant under his hands, and he'll think of Jess until he's hard, and let his brother fuck him.
